Three ARS Scientists Win Presidential Early Career Awards for Scientists and Engineers

Three Agricultural Research Service (ARS) scientists won the 2019 Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers (PECASE)—the highest honor given by the U.S. Government to outstanding early-career scientists and engineers. The three ARS winners are microbiologist Heather Allen, National Animal Disease Center in Ames, Iowa; molecular biologist Jo Anne Crouch, Beltsville Agricultural Research Center in Beltsville, Maryland; and research chemist Sara Lupton, the Edward T. Schafer Agricultural Research Center in Fargo, North Dakota. The PECASE is coordinated by the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) in conjunction with participating U.S. Government departments and agencies.
